We’re just 3 minutes from I-44 and right off Route 66.
Uranus
Not a far-away planet, the city with the funny name is nearby. And it’s the home of a famous fudge factory. Go there for fine fudge, the Axehole, the Sideshow Museum, and more wacky stuff. Not kidding!
Fort Leonard Wood
More than 80 years ago, Fort Leonard Wood began as a basic training post for the US Army. It now trains more than 80,000 men and women – both military and civilians – in diverse studies such as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Engineering, as well as US Army Military Police School. Salute!
Mark Twain National Forest
With over 750 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and motorized use, the Ozark Trail winds through the forest in Rolla. More than 350 miles of flowing streams meander through its canopied expanses.
Rolla Antique Mall
Antiques, collectibles, and junque. This vintage store is a pack rat’s paradise!
The Zone
Visit Kokomo Joe’s in Rolla for roller skating, laser tag, and Seaside Arcade for grownups and big kids. And for little kids, there’s Exploration Island.
Railroad Historical Museum
Visit Springfield for hands-on activities for visitors of all ages! Discover steam and diesel trains, and the Frisco locomotive, including its caboose and train depot. Free admission and free parking!
Devils Elbow and the Historic Truss Bridge
Bring your old car and take a picture of it on the old bridge. A Route 66 emblem is painted onto the bridge surface for dramatic effect.
